Anusha Ramesh Kannan

I love wearing multiple hats—though, honestly, some days it feels like I’m balancing an entire hat shop on my head! By day, I’m a part-time Marketing Specialist, diving into data and crafting strategies. By night (and every other hour), I’m a podcaster, content creator, and aspiring author.

I host The Marketing Woman Podcast (for marketing nerd-outs) and The Pivot to Balance Podcast (still chasing that elusive work-life balance).

When I’m not behind the mic, I’m creating videos on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn—because why stick to one platform? Oh, and I’m writing a business book, fueled by coffee and chaos.

In short, I’m juggling marketing, data, and storytelling—fueled by at least 10 cups of coffee a day (and yes, I’m probably over-caffeinated, but who’s counting?).

From Data to Stories: My Journey as a Data-Driven Marketer

I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spark. As a kid, I started a lending library, launched a stationery line, and threw myself into creative projects that demanded just a little extra effort. But growing up in a world that valued facts and data, I learned to blend my natural inclination for storytelling with the precision of numbers.

In my third year of pursuing a Bachelor’s in Information Technology, I realized my passion extended beyond coding and algorithms. I didn’t just want to build things—I wanted to understand how they worked within the broader ecosystem of business. I saw the power of data and storytelling coming together to create something impactful. That realization set the stage for my future.

After earning a postgraduate degree in Data Science and Business Analytics, I moved to Boston in 2022 to pursue a Master’s in Marketing. It was a leap of faith that put me right in the middle of a city brimming with energy, ideas, and opportunities. At Suffolk University, I threw myself into everything—from leading campus initiatives to Interning with Slickdeals as their Marketing Operations intern. This wasn’t just a degree; it was an opportunity to learn from real-world experiences.

The Spark and the Shift

Fast forward to 2023: I landed a role as a Business Analyst at JOANN Fabrics and Crafts. I thought it would be the perfect fit—an intersection of data, creativity, and strategy. But something was missing. I spent my days giving the team the data they needed, managing massive reports, and creating training courses, but something was missing. There was no spark, no creativity—just endless numbers without a story.

That’s when I knew: I didn’t want to simply analyze data. I wanted to use it to craft compelling narratives, connect insights with strategy, and create value that resonates. I didn’t just want to hand over the numbers; I wanted to make them meaningful.

Building My Voice

To fill that gap, I turned to the projects that lit me up. I launched Elevare, a platform that blends media production with thought leadership. Under this umbrella, I host two podcasts—The Marketing Woman Podcast and The Pivot to Balance Podcast—and write Elevare Gazette, a newsletter where I explore marketing, personal development, and industry trends. These platforms allow me to use data, storytelling, empathy, and value—the pillars that have shaped my journey.

Through these efforts, I’ve not only grown as a marketer but also found my voice as a creator and storyteller. I love engaging with diverse perspectives, exploring new ideas, and breaking down complex concepts into actionable insights.

What Drives Me

Today, I’m a data-driven marketer. My technical skills in analytics and programming are my foundation, but my heart lies in bringing a human touch to every strategy. Whether it’s optimizing a campaign, analyzing audience behavior, or hosting conversations with brilliant minds, I aim to merge the logic of data with the art of storytelling.

And while my journey started with curiosity and creativity, it’s rooted in the belief that great marketing isn’t just about selling—it’s about connecting. I’m here to do just that.

Currently…

I work part-time as a Marketing Specialist, where I focus on crafting strategies, analyzing data, and driving results. But my creativity doesn’t stop there.

I create videos on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, sharing insights on marketing, personal development, and the ever-evolving business world. Each platform gives me a unique space to connect with audiences and tell stories that inspire and inform.

I also host two podcasts:

  • The Marketing Woman Podcast – diving into the world of marketing, personal branding, and career growth.

  • The Pivot to Balance Podcast – exploring practical ways to find mindsets & harmony between life and work.

And as if that weren’t enough, I’m in the process of writing my first business book—a project that brings together everything I’ve learned and the questions I’m still exploring. It’s a journey of growth, curiosity, and sharing what I love with the world.

This is my world right now—a blend of strategy, creativity, and storytelling.
